Exchange Program

Exchange Program on Distance Education and Innovation Education Methods between the School of Public Administration, Dalhousie University, Canada and the National Academy of Public Administration, the President of Ukraine, took place in August 8-15, 2004.

Objectives of the Program: exchange of experience in MPA program content, DL courses process organisation, innovation methods of Distance Learning, web-based MPA.

During the whole week the group had a very intensive program, which included meetings, seminars, roundtables, presentations and discussions. The experience of Dalhousie University, which is the one of Canada’s top universities, had been studied in terms of the MPA program development and delivery, Distance Learning organization and usage of the innovative technologies.

Key results of the exchange program: study of the experience of DL process organization at the Dalhousie University and the School of Public Administration discovers a number of positive aspects, which proves the perspectives of public servants education MPA Program in DL format; in the process of program realization there were discussions of key questions of the education process organization, content and methods of study in the direction “Public Administration”; the main directions of collaboration had been specified targeted to the innovation approaches and their implementation into the system of Public Servants education
