DL COURSE STRATEGY

You can get elementary knowledge and develop skills in the field of business finance for:

create credit policy in relation to suppliers, customers and financial organizations;

create effective investment policy including risks;

apply effective policy of management of circulating assets;

drifting of plans and budgets of different levels;

comparative analysis of effective finance contracts;

evaluation of profit (assets, shares, bonds) including risks;

analysis of company financial state, macroeconomic factors influence.

DL COURSE ОBJECT

The theories and the methods on corporate finance with the examples and warnings on the use in Ukraine are basis of DL course.

The DL course is presented as the block of financial management of master's degree program on business administration. Most part of materials is obligatory for students who want to receive international professional qualifications such as CEFA, CIIA®, CFA®, some training materials of course conform to the requirements of the second and third level of CFA® qualification.

DL COURSE STRUCTURE:

Module 1. Business finance theory.

Module 2. Models and methods of financial calculations.

Module 3. Financial decision-making considering risks.

Module 4. Accounting as informational bases for financial decisions. Financial reporting.

Module 5. Financial reports analysis and decision-making.

Module 6. Investment decision-making and capital investments budget.

Модуль 7. Management of circulating assets.

Модуль 8. Finance planning and budgeting.

DL course plan:

introductory face-to-face session;

training process by distance learning format (practical tasks, passing tests, consultations);

two intermediate face-to-face sessions(May 27, 2006);

final face-to-face test: individual project presentation and defense.

DL students are supplied with the complex of:

on-line course and printed materials;

learning guidelines for students;

CD with addition information resources (examples of examination tasks for CEFA, CIIA®, CFA®).

AUTHOR AND TEACHER OF COURSE

Volodymyr Stuley - the consultant of the British Company Finance InterAdvise Ltd (London), project manager on conversion large network organization of financial sector of the Ukrainian market (more than 500 departments). The consultant of Charles Duysberga Fund (Germany). More than 11 national and international projects are realized with his participation in the field of conversion and organizational development, strategic planning and management of projects, corporate finance and evaluation of business activity.

DL course's term and cost:

Term of the course - 12 weeks (November 2006 - January 2007)
Course's Cost -1800 UAN per course.

On conditions of successful course fulfillment the students receive the Certificate of the Distance Learning Center and the Institute of Administrative, Economic and Political Management, the National Academy of Public Administration, the President of Ukraine.
